Application for Law Student Internship Page 5 of 5 HR Form Rev May 2023 Organization: Florida Attorney General's Office Job Title: Law Student Intern Experience: Law student enrolled in an accredited ABA law school Salary: Unpaid, may receive academic credit or participate in law school sponsored programs Overview: - The Florida Attorney General's Internship Program offers law students the opportunity to gain practical experience in a legal field and contribute to meaningful work towards their degree. - The program is open to students enrolled in an accredited ABA law school and offers unpaid internships for academic credit or through participation in law school sponsored programs. - Interns must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and are placed based on agency need and opportunity. - Interested students should apply early, as applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Responsibilities: - Assist with investigations and prosecutions of cybercrimes related to fraud and identity theft. - Enforce the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act to protect consumers from internet and technology-based scams and fraud. - Conduct legal research and draft legal documents. - Attend court hearings and assist with trial preparation. - Participate in law school sponsored programs such as Pro Bono Programs, Law School sponsored clinics, and Law School Paid Stipend programs.
