A law firm is seeking a Mid-level Employment Law Counseling and Compliance Associate Attorney for its San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant experience in preparing employment policies and agreements, counseling on employee relations issues, conducting workplace investigations, and possessing knowledge of federal and state labor & employment laws. Strong communication, writing skills, and familiarity with anti-harassment training are desired.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare employment policies and agreements.
  • Counsel on employee relations issues such as discipline, termination, accommodation requests, and leaves of absence.
  • Conduct workplace investigations.
  • Provide anti-harassment and other employment training.
  • Handle aspects of litigation including interviewing witnesses, reviewing documents, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Admission to practice law in California.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in employment law counseling and compliance.

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate degree.

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of federal and state labor & employment laws.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Experience in litigation-related tasks.
  • Familiarity with anti-harassment training.
