A law firm in Stoughton, MA, is actively seeking motivated and self-starting solo or small firm Residential and/or Commercial Conveyancers to join their team. The firm is looking for individuals with 1-6 years of experience in conveyancing who can bring an existing book of business to the practice. This is an excellent opportunity for conveyancers looking to further their careers and contribute to a dynamic legal team.

Duties:

• Manage the conveyancing process for residential and/or commercial real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, and refinances.
• Conduct title searches, review title reports, and address any title issues that may arise.
• Draft and review legal documents, including purchase and sale agreements, deeds, and closing statements.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction.
• Oversee the closing process, ensuring all necessary documents are prepared, signed, and recorded correctly.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on real estate matters.

Requirements:

• 1-6 years of experience in residential and/or commercial conveyancing.
• An existing book of business in conveyancing is required.
• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
• Strong knowledge of real estate laws and regulations, specifically in Massachusetts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple conveyancing transactions.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar Association or equivalent bar association.

Skills:

• Proficiency in conducting title searches and reviewing title reports.
• Expertise in drafting legal documents related to real estate transactions.
• Familiarity with real estate closing procedures and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address title issues and legal matters.
• Client-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
