Job Overview: A law firm in Troy, MI, is seeking an Electrical Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to join its team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop a diverse practice by preparing and prosecuting patent applications across a spectrum of commercially significant technologies for large- and medium-sized clients from various industries. The focus areas include semiconductors, computer-related technologies, telecommunications, consumer electronics, digital image processing, and robotics.

Duties:

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications for clients in the specified technology domains.
• Develop and implement patent strategies to protect clients' intellectual property.
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-practice studies to assess the viability of patent applications.
• Prepare opinion letters on patent-related matters.
• Conduct due diligence on intellectual property issues.
• Negotiate technology agreements to secure clients' interests.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering (advanced degree preferred).
• State Bar admission.
• Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
• Familiarity with . patent laws.
