A law firm in Woburn, MA, is actively seeking motivated and self-starting Residential and Commercial Closings to join their team. The firm is open to candidates from solo practices or small firms who have a proven track record in residential and/or commercial closings. Successful applicants will be expected to bring an existing book of business, demonstrating their ability to handle conveyancing matters independently.

Duties:

  • Manage residential and/or commercial conveyancing transactions from initiation to completion, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
  • Conduct title searches, due diligence, and property research to identify any potential issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, deeds, and other conveyancing documents.
  • Facilitate communication between buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in transactions.
  • Coordinate and attend property closings, guiding clients through the process and addressing any concerns.
  • Resolve legal issues or disputes related to conveyancing matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
  • 1-6 years of experience in residential and/or commercial conveyancing.
  • Proven track record in handling conveyancing transactions independently.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate laws and regulations in Massachusetts.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar Association or equivalent bar association.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in conducting title searches and due diligence.
  • Expertise in drafting conveyancing documents.
  • Familiarity with real estate conveyancing software and tools.
