Salary information: The wage range for this role is estimated to be between $84,980 to $193,440, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. This range may also be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position will be filled. Job Title: Tax Manager - Financial Services - Global Information Reporting (East Region City Locations) Experience Information: - 5+ years' experience in FATCA, CRS, chapter 3 and chapter 61 of the Internal Revenue Code, Qualified Intermediaries, 871 m) or other withholding and reporting regimes - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience Position Summary: - Strategic and creative tax professional - Work on international tax regimes for global tax transparency - Understand financial services and products across industries - Coordinate efforts in multiple countries and manage international teams - Experience in FATCA, CRS, 1042/1042-S reporting or 1099 Responsibilities: - Provide advisory services to financial institutions on FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3 and 61 of the Internal Revenue Code, Withholding Partnership rules, Qualified Intermediaries, 871 m), and other global information reporting and withholding regimes - Coordinate international teams to assist with compliance efforts - Build relationships with clients and manage engagements workflow while supervising tax consultants - Perform detailed reviews of reporting data, tax form validations, notifications and other requirements - Contribute to internal technology development and assist with design, drafting of business requirements and technology testing - Participate in trainings and educate tax consultants on the impacts of these regulations The Team: - Deloitte Tax LLP’s Global Information Reporting team - Leading the transformation and digitalization of the tax profession in the area of international tax transparency for the financial industry - Provide services to the largest financial institutions in the world - Leading the transformation and digitalization of the tax department to create greater impact and efficiency - Range of services include FATCA, CRS, chapter 3 and 61 tax compliance globally, tax form validation services, Qualified Intermediary and Withholding Partnerships regimes, technology development, consulting services, controversy, risk management and audit readiness for these regimes Qualifications Required: - Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model - 5+ years’ experience in FATCA, CRS, chapter 3 and chapter 61 of the Internal Revenue Code, Qualified Intermediaries, 871 m) or other withholding and reporting regimes - Preparation and review experience of FATCA tax returns, CRS reporting, tax forms validation (W-8, W-9 or CRS Self-certifications), 1042/1042-S and 1099 reporting - Experience with managing teams and engagement workflows - Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve - One of the following active accreditations obtained: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office, licensed attorney, enrolled agent - Certifications: Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Preferred: - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience - Excellent presentation and communications skills Salary Information: - Wage range: $84,980 to $193,440 - Factors considered in compensation decisions: skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs - Range may be adjusted for applicable geographic differential - Not typical to be hired at or near top of range, compensation decisions based on individual circumstances - Role may be eligible for participation in discretionary annual incentive program, dependent on individual and organizational performance
