Job Details:

  • Prepare legal documents: Contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and legal proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research: Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for effective representation.
  • Attend hearings: Prepare for and attend hearings and other legal proceedings, providing legal counsel with guidance from senior associate attorneys.
  • Conflict analysis: Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Communication: Collaborate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case handling and communication.
  • File management: Maintain organized client files, ensuring up-to-date information is readily accessible to attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

Requirements:

  • 3-10 years of experience in consumer finance litigation.
  • Working knowledge of laws including FDCPA, CFPB’s Amendments to Reg F, federal and Texas debt collection practices, Writs of Sequestration, defense in consumer bankruptcy, Tenant Estoppels, Home Equity Mortgages, Home Equity Lines of Credit, Business Lending, FCRA, Consumer law, TCPA.
  • Texas law license; additional licenses are a plus.
