Job Summary:

- Represents insured and the company in defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits
- Prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions
- Provides counsel to business clients and collaborates with legal teams
- Monitors and reviews new laws and regulations and advises on their impact
- Manages projects and handles a large caseload

Key Responsibilities:

- Review new file assignments and develop strategy
- Contact clients and maintain communication throughout case
- Coordinate with claims and review all evidence
- Prepare witnesses and conduct depositions and court appearances
- Conduct settlement and arbitration proceedings
- Draft post-trial motions and participate in appeals
- Provide legal opinions and pursue subrogation litigation as needed
- Manage projects and work well with a team

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:

- Up to seven years of experience in Insurance Defense, Subrogation, or Personal Injury litigation
- Trial and/or Arbitration experience preferred
- Computer skills required
- Ability to work well with others and handle a large caseload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel and lift up to 20 pounds
- Regular attendance is essential

Compensation: $84,, per year based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) must pass a background investigation and drug screen.

Trial and Arbitration experience, Microsoft Office, Lexis, Legal Opinions, Computer Skills, Verbal and Written Communication

Juris Doctorate degree
