Duties:

  • Collaborate with nationally ranked trademark and copyright attorneys to protect brands in various industries.
  • Serve as a strategic counselor to clients, offering business-oriented legal advice for prosecution, enforcement, litigation, licensing, and advertising matters.
  • Work as part of a respected team of attorneys specializing in intellectual property issues.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in . and foreign trademark counseling, clearance, and prosecution.
  • Proficiency in reviewing clearance searches and preparing substantive responses to PTO (Patent and Trademark Office) office actions.
  • Previous experience in preparing and responding to cease and desist letters and handling enforcement matters, including domain name disputes, UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy) actions, TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) proceedings, and issues related to trademark use on social media platforms.
  • Knowledge and experience in copyright law.
  • Active membership in the State Bar and compliance with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements.
  • Superior writing skills and strong academic credentials.
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting complex and detailed legal analysis.
  • Excellent communication abilities for interacting with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.
  • Enthusiasm for working within a collaborative, team-oriented environment and contributing to effective team relationships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar.
