Responsibilities:
- Help clients solve business issues related to tax laws and communicate local tax developments.
- Assess state and local tax burden and recommend solutions that align with business objectives.
- Develop strategies to manage and stay ahead of state and local tax burdens.
- Identify opportunities resulting from changes in legislation and administrative policies.
- Provide technical expertise in areas such as FAS 109, unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, tax base rules, and tax research.
- Build and maintain client relationships, communicate value propositions, manage resources and project workflow, and prepare complex materials.
- Lead teams and provide coaching and feedback.
- Act as a tax technical business advisor and develop new relationships.
- Familiarity with automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
- Knowledge of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies.
