Tax Senior Manager - Real Estate Tax - Business Tax Services

Position Summary:

- Strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience serving real estate owners and operators
- Leader with solid understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and Real Estate Investment Trust qualification rules
- Opportunity to develop and pursue creative strategies while utilizing latest tax technologies in real estate industry

What You’ll Do:

- Provide compliance and consulting services to Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships
- Work directly with clients, manage tax engagement team, access elite group of specialists, utilize state of the art technology, and receive support from firm leadership
- Responsibilities include assisting clients with life events for partnerships, using proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes, maintaining and developing strong client relationships, advising clients on various tax issues, overseeing complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects, managing engagement workflow and billing, and mentoring and developing junior staff

The Team:

- Global leaders in providing professional services to the Real Estate industry
- Work with clients to address critical issues brought on by regulatory changes, competition, globalization, advances in technology, and changing customer demands
- Clients include investment advisers and administrators from every sector of the industry
- Spectrum of business tax services relevant for public and private companies

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model
- 8+ years of total corporate or international tax experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Accreditation such as CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Experience with US clients and basic understanding of US tax
- Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated research skills
- Self-starter with ability to handle multiple priorities
- Management experience

Salary Information:

- Wage range takes into account factors such as skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs
- Range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic location
- A reasonable estimate of current range is $119,490 to $272,090
- Eligibility for discretionary annual incentive program
