Duties:

  • Work closely with attorneys in the Energy & Natural Resources Strategic Business Unit.
  • Lead and oversee scopes of work within a team.
  • Manage and mentor junior attorneys as needed.
  • Handle a variety of real estate transactions in the renewable energy field, including wind, solar, and battery storage projects.
  • Articulate legal strategies and courses of action for clients.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide high-quality legal advice.
  • Perform legal research and analysis.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Appear in court and represent clients when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Six years of legal experience, preferably in real estate transactions.
  • Prior experience with wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions is a requirement.
  • Superior academic credentials from a recognized law school.
  • Active Bar license in Wisconsin.
  • Commitment to community involvement and social responsibility.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in Wisconsin.

Skills:

  • Strong legal judgment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior attorneys.
