Job Overview: The Employment Litigation Associate Attorney will represent clients in various employment-related litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage & hour disputes, and employment contract cases. They will also provide counsel on workplace law issues and assist in developing legal strategies.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage & hour disputes, and employment contract cases.
  • Develop legal strategies and provide advice on workplace law issues such as employee relations, risk mitigation, ADA accommodations, employment agreements, and employment-related policies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Argue motions in court.
  • Conduct legal research on federal and state employment statutes.

Requirements:

  • JD from an ABA accredited Law School.
  • Admitted to the New York Bar and in good standing.
  • 1-2 years of employment litigation experience.
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment statutes.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience providing advice and counsel on workplace law issues.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of ADA and other workplace accommodations.
  • Experience with reductions-in-force.
  • Proficiency in drafting employment-related agreements.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited Law School.
  • Admission to the New York Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment statutes.
