Bank of America is seeking an experienced and versatile attorney to join our team as an Assistant General Counsel in Commercial Banking. In this role, you will provide legal support and strategic advice to our commercial businesses, with a primary focus on secured lending. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel to the commercial banking and private lending businesses, with a focus on product and service offerings and legal actions.
• Review and analyze legal contracts and documents.
• Conduct legal research, either independently or through a team.
• Collaborate with internal business partners, including legal colleagues, syndications, risk management, and compliance, to support the needs of our commercial businesses.
• Participate in enterprise-wide projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree and admission to at least one state bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in structuring, drafting, and negotiating documentation for single lender and syndicated commercial credit facilities.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy/workout, litigation, and bond finance is desired but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to identify and analyze risks, make decisions, and manage risk effectively.
