Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel to the commercial banking and private lending businesses, with a focus on product and service offerings and legal actions.
• Review and analyze legal contracts and documents.

• Collaborate with internal business partners, including legal colleagues, syndications, risk management, and compliance, to support the needs of our commercial businesses.
• Participate in enterprise-wide projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree and admission to at least one state bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in structuring, drafting, and negotiating documentation for single lender and syndicated commercial credit facilities.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy/workout, litigation, and bond finance is desired but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to identify and analyze risks, make decisions, and manage risk effectively.
