As the Chief Ombudsman for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), you will play a crucial role in protecting the rights of condominium owners in the state of Florida. This in-office position, located in Tallahassee, requires a Florida licensed attorney with experience in community outreach and dealing with members of the public. Main Responsibilities:

- Develop policies and procedures to assist unit owners, boards of directors, board members, community association managers, and other affected parties in understanding their rights and responsibilities as outlined in Chapter 718, . and condominium documents.
- Oversee the division's election monitoring program and make recommendations for changes in rules and procedures.
- Act as a neutral resource for both the rights and responsibilities of unit owners, associations, and board members.
- Supervise and direct staff responsible for communications between all parties interacting with the Condominium Ombudsman's office.
- Make decisions and solve problems based on evaluation and reasoning with accumulated data and information.
- Conduct consistent and regular work travel across the state, particularly throughout South Florida.

Qualifications:

- Must be a Florida licensed attorney.
- Experience in community outreach and dealing with members of the public.
