Baker Tilly is offering a great opportunity for recent graduates to launch their career as a Tax Associate. This position is available in Morgantown, West Virginia; Bridgeport, West Virginia; and Charleston, West Virginia. The Tax Associate role provides a great opportunity to work with privately held and publicly traded companies that occupy all stages of development.

## Responsibilities
As a Tax Associate at Baker Tilly, you will be a value architect delivering tax advisory and compliance services to clients. You will be a trusted member of the engagement team providing various tax compliance and consulting services. This includes providing tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations ranging from middle market to multinational companies, participating in tax research projects on a variety of tax issues, helping to draft IRS responses and address other tax authority inquiries, and teaming with leaders on special projects in various areas of corporate and flow through taxation such as accounting methods and ASC740.

You will also have the opportunity to develop recommendations for the client to consider and share with leadership to discuss and strategize, communicate and team with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters in the state and local, high net worth, international, research and development along with credits and incentives areas, and learn and grow from direct on-the-job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs.

## Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:

* Bachelor’s or master's degree in accounting or law, or a related degree in business, with sufficient course work and credits to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state you are being considered
* Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of or above
* Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization?
* The ability?to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel
* Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving
* Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability
* Proficiency?with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

## Salary
The salary for the Summer 2025 Tax Associate position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
