A law firm is currently seeking a Senior Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of litigation experience with a strong background in employment law. This senior-level position involves defending and litigating lawsuits related to a wide range of employment claims, providing strategic counsel to employers, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. The Senior Employment Litigation Associate Attorney will assume a leadership role in defending clients against employment-related lawsuits, offering strategic counsel on labor and employment laws, and representing employers in various legal forums. The role requires extensive litigation experience, a comprehensive understanding of employment law, and the ability to provide high-level legal advice to clients.

 

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
  • Provide advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay informed about current court and employment-related agency procedures at the state and federal levels.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Pay attention to detail and maintain a commitment to excellence.
  • Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Work independently on various projects while upholding professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Active PA Bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
  • 4+ years of litigation experience, with a strong background in employment law preferred.
  • Understanding of current state and federal court and agency procedures.
