Duties:

  • Manage and handle various complex civil defense cases, including premises and retail liability, amusement park liability, auto liability, rideshare liability, and commercial trucking cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide well-founded legal advice and strategies.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, mediation, and settlement conferences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to gather and analyze relevant case information.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to civil defense litigation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, preferably focusing on general liability civil defense.
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.
  • Past trial experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving civil defense cases.

Education:
