Duties:

  • Advise clients on tax issues about renewable energy transactions, including but not limited to construction requirements, prevailing wage requirements, and apprenticeship requirements under code sections 45 and 48.
  • Assist in M&A transactions, tax equity transactions, tax credit transfers, and other joint ventures within the renewable energy sector.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on tax laws and regulations applicable to renewable energy projects.
  • Draft legal documents, agreements, and tax opinion letters as necessary for client representation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure tax laws and regulations compliance.

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience practicing law in a reputable law firm.
  • Demonstrated experience in tax credit transactions, tax credit transfers, tax equity financings, and tax opinion letters.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a recognized institution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
