A law firm in Sarasota is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 20 years of experience in business litigation, exceptional academic credentials, strong writing and analytical skills, and be admitted to the State Bar. This position requires the ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently on client matters while demonstrating a commitment to client service and excellence. Duties: • Represent clients in various business litigation matters including contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property disputes, and employment litigation. • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. • Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery requests, preparing for and conducting depositions, and managing document production. • Participate in settlement negotiations, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. • Attend court hearings, arbitrations, and trials as necessary. • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members. Requirements: • Should have 20 years of experience in business litigation. • Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school. • Admission to the State Bar. • Excellent writing and analytical skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Admission to the State Bar.
