Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation And Trial Practice Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience, specializing in insurance litigation, particularly insurer-side coverage litigation under Commercial General Liability policies. Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to insurance litigation matters, with a focus on insurer-side coverage litigation under Commercial General Liability policies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for court filings and proceedings.
  • Assist in all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting document reviews, and preparing witnesses for depositions.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed, representing clients in litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to effectively manage caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients on insurance coverage issues and litigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on insurance litigation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in insurer-side coverage litigation under Commercial General Liability policies.
  • Preferred experience in representing life insurance companies in cost of insurance litigation and class action defense.
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Excellent academic credentials, including a strong academic record and relevant coursework.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation matters independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
