Salary: $119,490 - $272,090 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Position Summary:

- Seeking a strategic and creative federal tax professional
- Specializing in real estate owners and operators
- Experience with Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and REIT qualification rules
- Opportunity to develop and pursue creative strategies using the latest tax technologies
- Position as Tax Senior Manager in Deloitte's Real Estate Services Tax practice

What You'll Do:

- Provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships
- Work directly with clients and manage tax engagement team
- Access to elite group of specialists and state-of-the-art technology
- Responsibilities include assisting clients with life events for partnerships, using proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes, maintaining client relationships, advising on tax issues, and managing complex tax projects

The Team:

- Deloitte works with clients in the Real Estate industry to address critical issues
- Clients include investment advisers and administrators from all sectors of the industry
- Business tax services range from planning to compliance, controversy and risk management, and specialized services
- Join us and help clients optimize their tax functions and take strategy to the next level

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of total corporate or international tax experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Must have one of the following accreditations: CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, or CFP
- Ability to travel up to 25% on average

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Previous experience with Big 4 or large CPA firm
- Familiarity with US tax and real estate tax technical and transaction skills
- Excellent communication and research skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and mentor junior staff
