Job Overview:
A law firm in Potomac, MD, is seeking a skilled Commercial Real Estate Attorney to handle various aspects of commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.

Duties:

  • Draft leases, purchase and sale agreements, financing documents, letters of intent, deeds, etc. in connection with commercial real estate transactions.
  • Review due diligence materials (including leases and service contracts), monitor contingencies, review and prepare title objections, survey and environmental reviews, closing documents, and wire transfers.
  • Conducted closings and completed post-closing documentation and administration.
  • Review and monitor agreements with developers and approve conditions required before draw disbursement and developer payment.
  • Assist senior-level attorneys, senior paralegals, and staff members.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an attorney with commercial and transactional real estate experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with various clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. iManage experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage time and resources effectively and independently and balance conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with high professionalism and client orientation.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar in Maryland.
  • Any relevant certifications in commercial real estate law are advantageous.

Skills:

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of commercial real estate law and transactions.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent client management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review.
