Salary Information: per hour Job Title: Immigration Legal Services Staff Attorney Experience: 1+ years working on asylum cases and in immigration law Organization: Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) Department: Immigration Location: MLK, Kent, SeaTac Locations Position Status: Non-exempt Regular Full Time (40 hrs/wk) Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD, Life insurance, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, 403(b) plan Responsibilities: - Provide legal consultation to staff on immigration laws and regulations - Prepare and review asylum and immigration documents - Conduct interview preparation and attend interviews with clients - Provide training to staff on current immigration laws and best practices - Maintain clear communication and collaboration with other managers and directors - Support immigration department staff in achieving goals and outcomes - Enhance and maintain partnerships with immigration stakeholders and organizations - Other duties as assigned by Senior Director and Immigration Supervisor Qualifications: - Law degree and bar exam passed, licensed to practice law in the US - 1+ years of experience in asylum cases and immigration law - Experience working with refugees and immigrants - Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written - Ability to use sound independent judgment - Computer skills, including database, spreadsheet, and word processing - Commitment to refugee and immigrant advocacy - Respect for diversity and teamwork - Willingness to work flexible hours - WA state driver’s license and vehicle insurance - Bilingual in Dari/Farsi preferred Background Checks: Employment at ReWA is contingent upon a successful background check.
