A law firm is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in general liability, trucking, or transportation law. The candidate will be responsible for file review, legal analysis, extensive research, drafting legal documents, representing clients in various legal proceedings, and trial preparation.

 

Duties:

  • Reviewing files and conducting legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
  • Conducting extensive legal research and drafting substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
  • Meeting an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.
  • Regularly representing clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
  • Drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Collaborating on expert witness retention and collaboration.
  • Assisting with trial preparation and attending trials.
  • Some travel may be required.

 

Requirements:

  • . degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • 3-5 years of experience in general liability, trucking, or transportation law.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania; admission in other states is a plus.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid research abilities and written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent client communication skills.
  • Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.
