A law firm is seeking a Health Care Medicaid Regulatory and Policy Advising Associate Attorney for their Chicago, IL office.

 

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing regulatory analysis and policy advising related to the Medicaid program. They will demonstrate a strong interest in complex regulatory and policy questions, supporting projects to improve access to affordable, high-quality health care services.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct regulatory analysis and provide policy advising on Medicaid program matters.
  • Address complex regulatory and policy questions concerning Medicaid, including coverage, reimbursement, managed care delivery systems, and section 1115 demonstration projects under the Social Security Act.
  • Engage with all facets of the multidisciplinary practice to support projects aimed at enhancing access to affordable, high-quality health care services.
  • Synthesize regulatory analysis tailored for both legal and lay audiences.
  • Perform legal research, analysis, and develop innovative solutions to meet client and team needs.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in health care regulatory matters, particularly in coverage and reimbursement.
  • Preferred candidates will possess experience with Medicaid regulatory and policy issues and/or complex administrative law questions.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.

 

Education & Certifications:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Skills:

  • Strong interest and enthusiasm for Medicaid program issues and improving access to affordable, high-quality health care services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for legal and lay audiences.
  • Attention to detail with exceptional legal research and analytical abilities.
