A law firm in Orlando is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to support its core labor and employment practice. The candidate will work closely with the Employment Litigation team, handling litigation matters from start to finish, including responding to pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations. Additionally, the candidate will assist clients with day-to-day challenges under all employment laws, draft and revise handbooks, conduct training sessions, and provide counsel on workplace-related issues. Admission to the Florida Bar is required for this role.

 

Duties:

  • Collaborate with a team to handle employment litigation matters
  • Respond to pleadings and manage discovery processes
  • Conduct depositions and argue motions in court
  • Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
  • Assist clients with day-to-day employment law challenges
  • Draft and revise employee handbooks and other legal documents
  • Provide training sessions on employment law compliance
  • Counsel clients on workplace-related issues

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar
  • 4-7 years of experience in employment litigation
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Florida Bar

 

Skills:
