A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Liability Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in third-party liability insurance coverage defense and consulting. The ideal candidate will hold an Illinois license, and additional licenses in Indiana and/or Wisconsin would be advantageous. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in third-party liability insurance coverage matters
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to insurance coverage issues
  • Draft legal documents, including coverage opinions, pleadings, and correspondence
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers
  • Assist in the defense of insurance coverage disputes, including litigation and arbitration
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client representation

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in third-party liability insurance coverage defense and consulting
  • Illinois license required; additional licenses in Indiana and/or Wisconsin preferred
  • Strong understanding of insurance coverage laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in Illinois; additional admissions in Indiana and/or Wisconsin preferred

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
