Job Overview:

The Mid-Level IP Litigation (Life Sciences) Associate Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in intellectual property litigation matters, with a focus on cases within the life sciences industry. This role will involve providing legal counsel, conducting research, and advocating on behalf of clients in various legal proceedings.

 

Duties:

  • Representing clients in intellectual property litigation matters, including patent and trade secret disputes, within the life sciences industry.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client initiatives.
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Managing discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and witness preparation.
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Counseling clients on intellectual property matters and providing legal advice as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to a State Bar is required.
  • Strong academic credentials in law and undergraduate coursework.
  • Undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Genetics, or Biochemistry is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience with intellectual property matters, including patent and/or trade secret litigation.
  • Excellent leadership skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound legal and business knowledge related to intellectual property and litigation matters.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Legal and business acumen in intellectual property and litigation matters.
