A law firm is currently seeking a Litigation Attorney with a focus on insurance and personal injury defense to join their team in Rockford, IL. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in insurance and personal injury defense cases. The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active State of Illinois Law license in good standing. The candidate should have 3-7 years of experience in insurance and personal injury defense.

Duties:

• Handle insurance and personal injury defense cases, representing clients in litigation matters.
• Conduct thorough legal research to build strong defense strategies.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, for insurance and personal injury cases.
• Collaborate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical experts to gather evidence and build a solid defense.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and depositions as required.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active State of Illinois Law license in good standing.
• 3-7 years of experience in insurance and personal injury defense.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance laws, personal injury regulations, and relevant legal precedents.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
