A law firm in Williamsville, NY, is seeking a Family/Matrimonial Law Associate Attorney to provide legal counsel and representation to clients in various family law matters. The candidate will be responsible for conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and assisting clients in court proceedings.

Duties:

• Provide counsel to clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, and domestic violence.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support client cases.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and involve them in decision-making.
• Prepare legal documents such as petitions, complaints, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
• Assist clients in court hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases to gain insight and experience.
• Stay updated on legal developments impacting clients in family law.
• Utilize legal research tools and technology proficiently.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
• 0-5 years of experience in family/matrimonial law.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
