A law firm in Hackensack, NJ, is seeking a Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors' Rights Associate Attorney to provide direct support to the attorneys in the firm's growing Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors' Rights practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on related matters with the support of the firm's deep commercial litigation, fiduciary litigation, white collar litigation, and insurance litigation practice groups.

Duties:

  • Assist attorneys in researching and analyzing legal issues related to bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in case strategy development and provide insightful input on litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and case law.
  • Collaborate with other practice groups to address overlapping legal issues and provide comprehensive legal solutions.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights law.
  • Strong academic record and demonstrated excellence in writing and analytical skills.
  • Preferred judicial clerkship experience.
  • Mandatory Bar membership in one or more of Delaware, New Jersey, or New York.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Delaware, New Jersey, or New York.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in preparing legal documents and pleadings.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights laws and regulations.
