Job Summary:
As the Senior Legal Counsel for the North America Market, you will primarily support end-user sales transactions in the United States, as well as take on additional projects within the North America Legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled commercial attorney with experience in end user sales to expand their skills and work with a highly experienced and talented team. This is an individual contributor role.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal expertise for end-user customers, including Hardware (PC and Print), Software, Support, and Managed Services.
- Act as lead attorney for large, complex Managed Services deals, collaborating with account and pursuit teams and other stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business teams on legal issues and the legal impact of business matters.
- Draft and negotiate legal contract terms.
- Support competitive bids by responding to end-user legal terms.
- Identify and resolve complex legal issues.
- Lead or assist with the resolution of contract disputes.
- Plan and provide training on designated legal topics.
- Use independent judgment to develop methods and techniques for achieving objectives.
- Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
- Support Legal's commitment to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing new and creative solutions, tools, and processes.

Qualifications:

- Active bar membership in any of the fifty states or the District of Columbia.
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience in public sector contracting.
- Experience with State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers preferred.
- Experience representing a major IT company in contract matters a plus.
- Prior negotiation experience in complex transactions.
- Strong knowledge of legal topics such as liability, indemnities, intellectual property, and privacy/data protection.
- Familiarity with industry norms and the unique legal and business issues in the IT industry.
- Practical, independent judgment, initiative, and self-confidence.
- Ability to solve challenges and work with minimal direction and supervision.
- Capability to escalate issues effectively to high-level legal, account, and business executives.
- Growth mindset approach.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
