Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will support the firm's litigation activities by conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, participating in negotiations, and assisting with trial preparation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Job Details:

  • Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Assist with legal drafting, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Review and analyze legal documents and contracts
  • Prepare and organize case files and exhibits
  • Participate in client meetings and interviews
  • Assist with negotiations and settlement discussions
  • Support senior attorneys in trial preparation and litigation activities
  • Attend court hearings and depositions as needed

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar Association
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal administrative tasks
  • Ability to draft legal documents and write persuasively
  • Familiarity with Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for legal research purposes
  • Experience in negotiating settlements and conducting litigation is preferred
