Participate in and lead cross-functional projects, including developing policies and procedures, and creating and delivering training to various stakeholders.
Proactively identify and drive process improvements, including automation of templates and processes, to enhance efficiency and scalability of legal support.
Keep informed of industry-specific regulations and legal developments in the consumer products and services space, and advise the business accordingly.
Provide support on ad hoc projects, including legal aspects of new business models, strategic initiatives, or other matters as assigned.
Understand and advise on the legal implications of business and product decisions, including regulatory compliance, consumer protection, privacy, and data protection.
Provide timely and concise legal advice on a wide range of legal issues, including those related to the use of technology in consumer products and services.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation in all aspects of the product lifecycle.



Qualifications

Juris Doctorate Degree or equivalent international degree
OR Completion of a legal apprenticeship.
Active license to practice law in a jurisdiction and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction.
3+ years experience as a practicing attorney
OR equivalent practice of law.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an in-house capacity
Experience with consumer, commercial, or other technology transactions; general knowledge of anti-competition, consumer protection, marketing, privacy, and data protection laws is a plus.
Experience identifying legal issues and proactively designing forward-looking solutions.
Bias for action and ability to meet deadlines and prioritize activities in a fast-paced and matrixed environment.
Collaboration skills and the desire and ability to work as part of a global team and with diverse groups and cultures.



Legal Counsel IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the . is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
