Target salary range MN, TX, IL, WI, GA, FL: $98,000-$137,200 The Legal Counsel at Wolters Kluwer will provide legal advice and guidance on a wide variety of commercial and contractual matters, specifically involving the Corporate Performance and Environmental, Social, and Governance (“CP & ESG”) business unit and its TeamMate products and services. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, as well as privacy regulations, and the ability to work effectively with a demanding client group. The Legal Counsel will also be responsible for negotiating and managing various agreements, as well as staying up-to-date on legal developments and collaborating with other teams within the company. This is a full-time position, with the option for a hybrid work arrangement, and a competitive salary range of $98,000-$156,650, depending on location and experience. Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive legal counsel on a variety of corporate, commercial, and privacy matters related to CP & ESG’s TeamMate products and services. - Structure, draft, negotiate, interpret, manage, and enforce various agreements, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, and partner, joint venture, and strategic alliance arrangements. - Keep business representatives and Managing Legal Counsel informed of significant legal developments. - Collaborate with other teams within the company, such as the Global Law and Compliance Department, as needed. - Manage outside counsel in a cost-effective manner, when necessary. - Develop a deep understanding of CP & ESG’s businesses, markets, products, and regulatory environment. - Educate business teams on contract forms and best practices, as well as internal contract review and approval procedures. - Support other teams within the company, such as M&A, regulatory, employment, and litigation, on matters related to CP & ESG TeamMate. - Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and . required, with admission to practice law in the state where the assigned office is located. - 2-5 years of corporate/commercial legal experience, preferably with experience at both a law firm and in-house. - Strong legal acumen, analytical skills, and understanding of privacy laws and regulations. - Excellent drafting and negotiating skills. - Strong communication and change management skills. - High level of integrity and ethics. - Proactive, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to work. - Ability to handle a heavy workload and multiple, concurrent projects. - Willingness to travel as needed. - Poise and strong interpersonal skills. - Ability to work well as part of a global and cross-functional team. Compensation: - Target salary range of $112,000-$156,650 for locations in CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, and WA. - Target salary range of $98,000-$137,200 for locations in MN, TX, IL, WI, GA, and FL.
