Florida Attorney General's Internship Program: Gain Practical Experience in a Legal Field

- Program offers unpaid internships for academic credit and through participation in law school sponsored programs
- Interns must be able to intern a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Application deadlines: Summer - January 31, Fall - June 30, Spring - September 30
- Internships available in various divisions, including Antitrust, Capital Appeals, Civil Appeals, Civil Legal Services, Civil Litigation, Criminal Appeals, Consumer Protection, Cyber Fraud Unit, Medicaid Fraud Control, Solicitor General, and Statewide Prosecution
- Interested students must complete and submit an application packet prior to the deadline, but are encouraged to apply early as applications are accepted on a rolling basis
- Must be enrolled in an accredited ABA law school
- Must provide documentation of eligibility for academic credit or participation in a law school sponsored program
- Must be in good standing and able to intern a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Must pass a preliminary background screening, including a criminal background check

- Must rank top 3 choices for internships in order of preference
- Must be able to intern a minimum of 20 hours per week for a prescribed period of time
- Must be able to provide a letter from academic advisor and indicate eligibility for academic credit or participation in a law school sponsored program
- Must provide contact information for academic advisor
- Must have a GPA of at least and be in good standing
- Must pass a security screening and authorize a criminal background check
- Must disclose any previous arrests or convictions
- Must certify that all information provided is true and accurate
- Must understand that any omissions, falsifications, or misrepresentations may result in disqualification or release from the program
- Must understand that acceptance into the program does not guarantee future employment with the Office of the Attorney General
- Must provide consent for release of information to investigators and personnel staff for purposes related to the internship or volunteer opportunity
- Must sign and date the application form to acknowledge understanding and agreement to the terms and conditions.
