The Tax Manager role with Deloitte's National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) team is a unique opportunity for experienced tax professionals looking to break away from traditional tax compliance work and instead focus on cutting-edge tax technology and solutions. The role involves working with large-scaled operating partnership tax clients, providing value and insight into public offering transactions, and developing technology and processes around . federal income tax principles. Work You'll Do:

As a Manager on our Partnership Solutions Group, Operational Partnership Services team, you will have the opportunity to:

- Work with a diverse range of industries, including private equity, healthcare, tech, financial products, oil & gas, green energy, real estate, consumer products, and more.
- Refine your skillset and provide valuable insights to clients on matters that are important to them.
- Deliver value to clients undergoing a public offering, including SPACs, and interact with external counsel, underwriters, and other professionals.
- Develop an understanding of public monetization transactions and create cutting-edge technology surrounding . federal income tax principles.
- Lead engagement teams and mentor and develop staff.
- Implement strategic tax structures and processes for clients.
- Participate in marketplace activities and identify service opportunities.

The Team:

Deloitte's National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) team is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP that offers a variety of tax services. The team is entrepreneurial in spirit and has a work-hard/play-hard mentality. The team provides tax planning for the largest organizations across all industries.

The Operational Partnership Services (OPS) service line, a part of the Partnership Solutions Group within NFTS, focuses on providing tax advice to privately-held and publicly-traded partnerships. The industries served by OPS include private equity, real estate, telecom, technology, healthcare, media & entertainment, energy, retail, and financial services. Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work within a hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week.
- 5+ years of experience in federal partnership tax.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business-related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership and management experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- . federal income tax partnership experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- One of the following accreditations: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP.

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as master's in science of tax (MST), JD, or LLM.
- Previous experience with a Big 4 or large CPA firm.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Transaction and M&A experience.
- Alteryx experience.

Salary Information:

The wage range for this role is $103,320 to $235,170, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, and other business needs. The estimate does not include geographic differentials. At Deloitte, it is not typical for individuals to be hired at the top of the range, and compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances.
