Job Title: Tax Senior - Financial Services - Banking & Capital Markets Tax (East Region City Locations) Experience: 3+ years in federal taxation Salary Range: $63,420 to $144,300 (dependent on experience and qualifications) Locations: Available in 22 cities across the East Region Position Summary: - Seeking a strategic and creative tax professional with experience in federal tax to join Deloitte's Business Tax Services practice. - Opportunity to work with large global and dynamic midsize clients in the banking and financial services industries. - Responsible for providing federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients. - Will work directly with clients and have access to support from specialists and firm leadership. - Hybrid work model with in-person co-location required 2-3 days per week and potential for up to 25% travel. Responsibilities: - Developing and maintaining client relationships on federal tax consulting and compliance engagements. - Providing advice on various tax issues, such as accounting for income taxes, tax provisions, and business restructuring. - Overseeing complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects for various entities and their affiliates. The Team: - Deloitte Tax LLP's Business Tax Services team is a dynamic group with professionals from diverse backgrounds. - Provides expertise to clients to integrate tax strategy into their business operations. - Offers a range of services, including tax planning, compliance, controversy and risk management, and specialized services like research and development and government incentives. Qualifications: Required: - Ability to work in hybrid model and travel up to 25%. - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. - 3+ years of experience in federal taxation. - Experience preparing and reviewing federal tax returns. - Strong research, writing, presentation, and communication skills. - Active CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP. Preferred: - Advanced degree in tax, JD, or LLM. - Experience with ASC740. - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience. - Experience in banking, securities, or capital markets industries.
