As a Manager in PwC's State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, you will be responsible for helping clients solve their business issues related to state and local tax laws and regulations. You will work with a team of problem solvers and use your skills to develop solutions and recommendations for our clients. Experience information:
A minimum of 4 years of experience is required for this position. Additionally, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting is also required. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science and relevant certifications such as CPA or Member of the Bar. Experience in tax technology or finance may also be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Assessing clients' state and local tax burden and providing solutions to support their business objectives.
- Developing strategies for clients to manage state and local tax burdens and identifying opportunities for tax savings.
- Providing guidance on state and local tax laws and regulations, including income and franchise tax planning, compliance, and audit defense.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and communities to communicate value propositions and manage project workflow.
- Supervising and coaching team members to encourage improvement and innovation.
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and policies to provide clients with the best possible solutions.
- Utilizing technology and automation to improve efficiency and provide insights to clients.
- Collaborating with other professionals within PwC to provide a comprehensive approach to solving clients' tax issues.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in state and local tax, including knowledge of FAS 109, unitary filing, and tax research.
- Relevant certifications such as CPA or Member of the Bar.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science.
- Experience in tax technology or finance may also be considered for this role.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lead and coach team members.
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
- Familiarity with alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies.
