Job Overview: A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Case Development Intake Attorney to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to investigate and develop commercial cases, manage incoming calls from potential new clients (PNCs), and ensure the ethical and legal obligations of all subordinates. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maximizing case values and attorney fees recovered.

Duties:

  • Investigate and develop commercial cases
  • Accept incoming calls from potential new clients (PNCs)
  • Ascertain relevant facts and discuss all aspects of PNCs' claims
  • Secure authorization to sign up, decline, or further evaluate claims
  • Explain attorney-client contracts and sign up cases in and out of the office
  • Cover on a rotational basis, including after-hours on-call
  • Maintain regular client communication, including monthly updates
  • Conduct client meetings and address/return all client calls promptly
  • Ensure 100% compliance on grade cards and legal obligations
  • Maximize case values and attorney fees recovered
  • Handle additional projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • JD must be licensed in Texas and good standing
  • 0-3 years of Personal Injury experience
  • Strong commitment to client service
  • Excellent writing skills and legal research abilities
  • Previous experience working on cross-functional teams
  • Previous customer service/sales experience preferred, with after-hours on-call experience
  • Previous experience supervising non-attorneys
  • Bilingual Spanish skills a plus

Education and Certifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas
