A law firm based in Hillsboro, OR, is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney III with over 10 years of law practice experience, preferably with an established book, practice, and/or performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating 50% of their own billable work and should have a proven track record of mediation and trial experience, strong research and analytical skills, and proficiency in drafting legal documents. The candidate must possess excellent communication and advocacy skills, manage their schedule effectively, actively engage in brand expansion activities, and demonstrate leadership qualities.

 

Duties:

  • Generate 50% of billable work
  • Mediate disputes and represent clients in trials
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues
  • Draft memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents
  • Market legal services to prospective clients
  • Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information
  • Conduct due diligence in all matters
  • Manage schedule for consultations and closure of consults
  • Close consultations within Gravis range of 30-50%
  • Ensure timely approval of invoices
  • Utilize and supervise support staff effectively
  • Update client management system with relevant information
  • Engage in brand expansion through blogs, social media, board participation, etc.
  • Seek positive feedback and reviews from clients
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of law practice experience
  • Established book, practice, and/or performance preferred
  • Successful record of mediation experience
  • Significant and successful trial experience
  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the bar in the state of practice
