A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Mid-level IP Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-4 years of experience. The candidate should have specific experience in handling patent and trade secrets disputes, and experience with inter partes review (IPR) petitions is highly desirable. A degree in an engineering discipline, physics, or computer science is strongly preferred. Exceptional academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. California Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly is required, and admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is preferred.

Duties:

• Handle patent and trade secrets disputes, providing legal counsel and representation to clients.
• Manage inter partes review (IPR) petitions and contribute to the preparation and response process.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence to support client litigation matters.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop litigation strategies.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Participate in all phases of litigation, from pre-filing through trial and appeal.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of experience as an attorney.
• Specific experience in patent and trade secrets disputes.
• Highly desirable experience with inter partes review (IPR) petitions.
• A degree in an engineering discipline, physics, or computer science (strongly preferred).
