Job Overview:

The Trial Associate Attorney will be crucial in representing clients in civil rights and criminal justice matters. They will be responsible for managing cases from inception to resolution, demonstrating a strong commitment to ethics, exceptional writing and communication skills, and cultivating and maintaining client relationships.

Duties:

• Build strong relationships with clients
• Evaluate and investigate cases for merit
• Manage and conduct discovery
• Draft and edit briefs at all stages of litigation
• Prepare cases for trial
• Prepare and argue appellate cases
• Demonstrate commitment to civil rights and criminal justice
• Trial and litigation experience

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed attorney in Illinois
• Demonstrated commitment to civil rights and criminal justice
• Trial and litigation experience

Certifications:

• Illinois State Bar admission
