A law firm in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with a self-starting attitude, excellent client service skills, strong academic credentials, and exceptional legal research and writing abilities. The ideal candidate must be qualified to practice law in Tennessee and should have at least 3 years of experience in labor and employment law.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in labor and employment matters
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and other documents
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
  • Assist in the defense of employment-related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims
  • Negotiate and draft employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related contracts
  • Conduct internal investigations into allegations of workplace misconduct
  • Provide training to clients on labor and employment law issues

 

Requirements:

  • Self-starter with excellent client service skills
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Exceptionally strong legal research and writing skills
  • Qualified to practice law in Tennessee
  • At least 3 years of experience in labor and employment law

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Tennessee State Bar

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations
