A law firm in Birmingham is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in building the existing practice, engage in significant client interaction, and demonstrate potential for long-term leadership within the firm.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to tax law, specifically estate planning.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and provide sound legal advice.
• Draft legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
• Review and analyze client financial documents and estate plans to assess tax implications and recommend appropriate strategies.
• Represent clients in tax disputes and negotiations with government agencies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate or better in Law from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning.
• Demonstrated expertise in tax law, particularly in relation to estate planning.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and statutes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Admitted to practice law in the state, or willingness to become admitted.
