Insurance Tax Manager - United States

The Insurance Tax Manager position is a full-time role within the Corporate Tax services division of PwC. The role involves providing tax advice to clients in the financial services industry, both domestically and internationally. The manager will also serve as a strategic consultant, helping clients navigate the complex and ever-changing tax landscape.

Key responsibilities of the role include developing new skills, resolving issues that hinder team effectiveness, coaching team members, analysing proposals and making recommendations, using data to inform decisions, and upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

The manager will also be responsible for managing relationships with clients, building networks, communicating value propositions, managing resources and budgets, and preparing written and verbal materials. They will also supervise teams and provide feedback to staff.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 4 years of experience in public accounting, internal domestic insurance tax departments, or internal foreign insurance departments. They must also hold a CPA or be a member of the Bar.

Candidates with a Master's degree and familiarity with a CRM system will be given preference. They should also have thorough knowledge of tax issues affecting the insurance industry, technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, and tax provision preparation, and experience as a tax technical business advisor.

Requirements:
