Job Overview: A law firm in Sunny Isles Beach, FL, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a proven track record of favorable dispute resolution and litigation cases. They will be responsible for drafting legal documents, resolving construction claims and disputes, and representing clients during legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Draft various legal documents, such as claims, motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence on behalf of the client.
• Create, review, and modify construction contracts, government contracts, and contractor agreements to address general liability and payment protection issues.
• Coordinate tasks assigned to administrative staff and paralegals, and work with clerks to set up client billing, meetings, and wrap-up of case projects.
• Resolve construction claims and disputes regarding contracts, construction defects, torts, payments, bond claims, and liens to avoid litigation and arbitration where possible.
• Litigate, negotiate, arbitrate, mediate, and argue motions to represent clients during legal proceedings in court.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience.
• A proven track record of favorable dispute resolution and litigation cases.
• Completion of an accredited law school with a Juris Doctorate (.) degree is required.
• Able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision.
• Active membership in the ABA/Local Bar Association.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctorate (.) degree from an accredited law school.
