As a Manager in our State and Local Tax (SALT) team, you will have the opportunity to work with clients on business restructuring, new tax laws, and communicating tax developments. You will also assist clients in managing their state and local tax burden and identifying opportunities for tax savings. Responsibilities: As a Manager, you will work as part of a team to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing new skills outside of your comfort zone - Resolving issues that may prevent the team from working effectively - Coaching team members and encouraging their personal development - Analyzing complex ideas and making recommendations - Using multiple sources of information to develop solutions - Addressing sub-standard work and ensuring it meets firm and client expectations - Using data and insights to inform decision-making - Developing a point of view on global trends and their impact on clients - Managing differing viewpoints to reach consensus and positive outcomes - Simplifying complex messages and summarizing key points - Upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - Minimum of 4 years of experience in state and local tax - CPA certification preferred - Knowledge of FAS 109, unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, tax base rules, tax research, compliance, and consulting in multi-state jurisdictions - Ability to build and maintain client relationships and participate in community involvement - Strong communication and project management skills - Experience as a team leader, including supervising teams, seeking diverse views, and coaching staff - Familiarity with CRM systems - Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment - Ability to work with large and complex data sets and utilize data visualization tools - Understanding of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies Why Work at PwC: At PwC, we believe in developing our employees to be purpose-led and values-driven leaders at every level.
