H1: Staff Counsel I, Workers Compensation California - Join AmTrust North America's Legal Team
H2: Aggressive, Cost-Efficient, and Creative Litigation Management Opportunity

Overview:
- Responsible for representing AmTrust North America and its carriers in all assigned cases
- Aggressive, cost-efficient, and creative management of a caseload
- Travel to different Boards in Southern California and various AmTrust offices
- Interface with claims administrators, underwriters, employers, safety personnel, and all legal representatives
- Maintain understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values

Responsibilities:
- Competently represent the Employer/Carrier before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies
- Communicate effectively with Claims, Underwriting, and employers
- Comply with AmTrust's Litigation Management Guidelines
- Assist in developing training materials
- Handle carve-out cases and have familiarity with Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
- Communicate with various parties involved in a case
- Stay current with market trends and attend continuing legal education seminars

Qualifications:
- Licensed by the California State Bar
- Strong technical knowledge of California Labor Code and Rules of Practice and Procedure
- Ability to handle a caseload of up to 95 cases
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of EAMS, Jet Filing, Lexis Advance, and Microsoft Office
- Trial and/or arbitration experience
- Appellate experience
- Ability to travel to various WCAB district offices and AmTrust offices

Salary Information:
- Salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 for jobs performed in California
- Base pay may vary depending on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location
- Salary range subject to modification in the future
- Evaluation of skills, abilities, and technical knowledge during the interview process to determine correct job level
